I will be writing on the topic of health care in the U.S. While watching Micheal Moores documentary SICKO, I just got frustrated because the way the system is set up the poor get poorer while the rich get richer. Also I was really bothered and sickened by the stories that people were explaining, I just kept thinking this is RICICULOUS! A man decided to to some woodwork for his house himself and due to a freak accident he loses his middle and ring finger to the table saw. The cost to re-attach the middle finger was something around 20,000 and the ring finger was something like 9,000; his doctors asked which finger he would like to keep. That is absurd! While he is trying to save money doing some work himself he looses his fingers and can barely afford to re-attach one. Also the ring finger cost is double the price?!?! WTF!?!? Sorry but that is what I immediately thought when I heard this story. In this paper I hope to figure out how a free health care system could be set up in america. I know I wont be actually be making it happen but I would like to see that it would be possible.

It has always been on my mind since I recieved acceptance letters from most schools in which I applied to. It was a big question for me to answer in a limited amount of time; do I stay home or go away to college to experience the “true” college experience being away. I now think about leaving because I may never get a chance to ever do it again.

Okay, second try. An issue that isn’t really “monumental” but directly effects me is the issue of building my own guitar. Their are certain issue such as personalization of tone, is it worth the cost, and doing it as an ode to the musicians who move me. Still I wonder if I can make this an interesting 6-8 page paper. If anyone can comment on this I think I could use the feedback.

My idea, probably like many others, is to write about my future plans later on in life. I don’t know if Baruch is the place for me. My friends that go to other colleges that dorm there say they are having a lot of fun, and i want to do that too. Also, I don’t know what my major could possibly be because I don’t kno what kind of career i want later in life. In my essay i will go throught the pros and cons of these ideas that i have.

I find my self constantly asking my self this question, yet it’s so hard to answer because there are so many options and just it’s hard to chose just one thing because the rest of my life is hopefully a loonng time. Two years ago few friends and I visited our old history teacher and we were talking and she gave me the idea of getting a job at the United Nations. So for this research paper, I’m going to research the jobs they have at the UN and the responsibilities and benefits of the positions. I was born and raised in Turkey so I want to find out what I could do using my Turkish. Also I’ve taken many years of french and learned a little bit of Italian so if I brushed up on those I’m sure I could use those as an advantage. So I want to research this to learn what I need to get there and what I could do there. There is a chance I might change this topic because I’m not sure if I could get 8 pages worth of useful information for my paper, but I’ll probably stick to it.

I have been thinking about what I want to write my paper on. I want a topic that is interesting to me and will make a good paper. I have decided to write about the ridiculously harsh penalties that are being distributed for graffiti offenses and the community that opposes it. This has been a topic that i have been reading about for a few months now and i think that i can make a very successful paper out of it.

So, I’ve been thinking about what I can write about for my third paper! I thought of these:
1. Nothing.
For now, I will give a topic that’s been on my mind for a little while. What type of laptop computer should I buy?
I think this should fulfill the requirements. This is a personal issues of immediate relevance to my life and it seems pretty specific. The primary issues for this half-assed topic are:
-How much money will I spend?
-Who do I trust when looking for reviews?
-Can I actually buy something without being ripped off?
I’ll mull over my topic.
I was also thinking about this one:
Should I transfer to University of Pennsylvania?
This is, of course, assuming they’ll take me but I might still want to look into it.

Ever since I was a little kid, I always changed my mind on what I wanted to do with my life, pertaining to my career. I always knew that I wanted to make a lot of money. For this project, as of now, I would like my topic to be on what would be the best career path for me to take. When I was younger I was thinking about becoming an electrical engineer however, as I matured I realized I want to go into business.

I have been thinking about the topic I will write my paper on a lot this past weekend. I have decided to do my research on an issue that has affected me and that is cancer. I want to write about what cancer is, how people get it, as well as what is being done to try and cure it and the like.

I plan on doing the Art/Artists and the Public Sphere choice of the assignment. I think that the Sistine Chapel paintings by Michelangelo is an appropriate topic to include in this assignment. I will try to explain what impact the paintings have had on society.

Letting one’s voice be heard is very important because it will definitely be useful in the future. Therefore, I chose to do my research on this question: “How can I be more outspoken in school? In front of teachers and classmates?” (Especially during presentations!) Speaking out has always been one of my biggest weaknesses that I need to fix. However, at the same time, I thought this would be an interesting research because then I can learn from others and how they dealt with their situations. I’m planning on sticking with this topic unless I find something else better.

I thought long and hard about this topic that i would have to choose for this research paper. I had two choices in mind and they were racism and gender, but i can see that the issue of racism has already been taken. We are all probably familiar with the topic and issue of gender, since we had to write a paper on it for anthropology. Our anthropology paper dealth with the issue on how society sees and seperates the males from the females. What we needed to do was to place ourselves in the other sex’s shoes. For an example the guys would go around wearing thick makeup and see other people’s reactions. But i would like to go more in depth with the subject and maybe tackle down the issue of unfairness and the double standards that society has for everything, since the paper that we had to write for anthropology was rather short and broad.
I was wondering, since we already wrote a paper on this is it okay for me to use this topic for the research paper?

I’ve put a lot of thought into the topic that i will choose for my paper. Since I am not planning to make any significant life changes anytime soon ; I’ve decided to write on a more universal topics. My paper will be on the issues of racism and how it has changed over time.

A lot of my family have been in the hotel business. Some owned restaurants, while others managed hotels. My dream is to open my own Hotel in either Dubai or Singapore, two countries that are great tourists sites and have some of the best economy. I want something like Jumeirah (Check it out online). I will research on which country I should try doing hospitality business, but more importantly, should I even go into that field at all?
